Lead a team in a logistics operation, overseeing inventory replenishment for picking, team safety, and performance. The role includes employee coaching, operational reporting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the team's workplace safety.
- Manage inventory replenishment for picking and prioritize work according to organizational needs.
- Ensure the team meets service, quality, and productivity targets, and support employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Report regularly to the department manager and relevant stakeholders, escalating operational issues and deviations.
- Coach and train new employees.
- Promote initiatives and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing a team in logistics operations.
- Knowledge of computer applications and logistics information systems, especially inventory management.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Process understanding and ability to lead projects.
- Willingness to work overtime and, when needed, on Fridays.
Nice to have
- Academic education in management, industrial engineering, or logistics.
