1. Subscription and Access

The Service is provided under a Basic free subscription plan.

• The Basic subscription is automatically activated upon registration
• The subscription period is 30 days and renews automatically unless otherwise specified
• Upon creation or renewal of the Basic subscription, the user receives 20 tokens, which can be used for CV optimization within the Service

We reserve the right to modify subscription terms, features, or availability at any time without prior notice.

2. Tokens

Tokens are a virtual unit used within the Service.

• Tokens are granted as part of the subscription and are valid for the duration of the subscription period (30 days)
• Tokens can be used exclusively for CV optimization processes
• Tokens are charged only upon successful completion of an optimization process
• At the start of an optimization process, tokens are temporarily reserved from the user’s balance
• If the optimization process fails or encounters an error, the reserved tokens are returned to the user’s balance

The following actions do not consume tokens:

• Re-optimization
• Generation of a personal note

We may provide users with a free feature called "Claim more", allowing them to receive additional tokens.

3. Changes to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time.

Where required by applicable law, we will notify users of material changes in advance.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

4. Nature of the Service

CVZilla provides tools powered by machine learning and large language models (LLMs) to assist users in optimizing CVs and related content.

The Service does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated output.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before using it.

5. User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You will independently review all outputs generated by the Service
• You are responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on such outputs
• You will not rely solely on automated results without verification

6. Data Protection and Privacy (GDPR)

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").

6.1 Data Controller

CVZilla acts as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service.

• CV content and uploaded documents

• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service
• Legitimate interests — to improve, secure, and operate the Service
• Consent — where required, including for testimonials or optional features
• Legal obligations — where applicable

• Provide and operate the Service
• Process CV optimization requests
• Manage subscriptions and tokens
• Improve Service performance and user experience
• Ensure security and prevent abuse

6.5 Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in these Terms, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

6.6 Data Sharing and Processors

We may share data with trusted third-party service providers that assist in cloud hosting, infrastructure, AI/LLM processing, analytics, and monitoring.

All such providers are contractually required to process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Request rectification of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Restrict processing
• Receive your data in a portable format

The Service uses automated systems, including AI models, to generate content and optimize user materials.

Such processing does not constitute automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR.

7. No Liability for Outcomes

The Service is provided as a productivity tool only. CVZilla does not participate in job applications or hiring processes.

We are not responsible for any outcomes related to job applications, including but not limited to rejection, loss of opportunity, or any other consequences arising from the use of the Service.

If you use generated content without proper review, you assume full responsibility for any resulting consequences.

8. Fees and Pricing

We may introduce paid plans, fees, or additional paid features at any time.

Any applicable fees, billing terms, and conditions will be presented to you prior to payment.

9. Testimonials and Feedback

With your consent, we may use and publish feedback, testimonials, or reviews related to the Service.

We will not disclose sensitive or personally identifiable information without your explicit permission.

10. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
