Develop and maintain production plans and master schedules, analyze capacity, and coordinate materials and production priorities in an engineer-to-order environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master production schedules based on engineering plans and specifications.
- Manage production planning and control for assigned lines; monitor schedule adherence and material availability.
- Perform simulation modeling, scenario optimization, labor loading, and capacity analysis.
- Prepare and present RCCP and S&OP reports to senior management.
- Create, release, monitor, and close work orders throughout production.
- Identify and resolve production control issues and process shortages; implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, purchasing, operations, and customers on specifications, quality, delivery schedules, and concerns.
- Facilitate operations and material status meetings and update schedules for engineering changes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of planning experience, including work in a quick-turn, low-volume, engineer-to-order production environment.
- At least 5 years of experience with advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis, APO, or ASCP.
- Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and capacity analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering bills of materials and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
