Client Implementation Project Manager (Card Issuing)
Lead client card-issuing implementations from planning through launch and project closure, coordinating technical and business stakeholders, integrations, testing, and compliance. The role is described as based in Israel and remote in a distributed international environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage card-issuing implementations from kickoff and planning through launch, hypercare, and closure.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependency maps, risk registers, and issue trackers.
- Act as the primary client contact; lead kickoffs, progress reviews, and post-launch discussions.
- Coordinate delivery across internal teams, clients, BIN sponsors, card schemes, card bureaux, and third-party vendors.
- Guide card-program configuration, including BIN structures, product codes, card profiles, limits, fees, and authorization parameters.
- Support technical onboarding for APIs, environments, system configuration, credentials, webhooks, and user access.
- Lead user acceptance testing, including test planning, card provisioning, defect tracking, and result validation.
- Coordinate certification, personalization, production, fulfillment, go-live readiness, cutover, and post-launch support.
- Work with compliance stakeholders on applicable PCI DSS, SCA/PSD2, Visa, and Mastercard requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, decisions, configurations, status reports, meeting records, and sign-offs for audit and compliance.
- Hand over completed projects and relevant documentation to Support.
- Use AI tools and LLMs where appropriate to assist with plans, summaries, status updates, and documentation, validating outputs for accuracy.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in implementation, project management, or client delivery in fintech, banking, payments, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of card issuing, including card programs, BIN structures, card lifecycle events, authorization flows, and issuer processing.
- Understanding of card-platform configuration, technical integration, and card-program launch dependencies.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and technical client onboarding.
- Ability to manage multiple implementations, plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Excellent written and spoken English and confidence communicating with clients, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading client meetings, setting expectations, and communicating project risks and dependencies.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, documentation, record-keeping, compliance awareness, and attention to operational accuracy.
- Collaborative approach to working with engineering, product, compliance, risk, support, and external partners.
- Comfort working remotely across multiple time zones, with ownership of delivery from planning through completion.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing card-issuing or issuer-processing platforms, or working for an issuer, BIN sponsor, processor, program manager, or card-focused fintech.
- Experience with debit, credit, prepaid, commercial, or virtual cards; scheme certification; BIN registration; digital wallets; network tokenization; settlement; reconciliation; disputes; or chargebacks.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Consulting or professional-services experience managing multiple clients.
- CSM, PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, or equivalent project-management certification.
