Head of Information Systems
Lead IT operations, information systems engineering, and AI enablement. Set strategy and oversee business applications, automation, security, governance, and reporting while building and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver strategy and roadmaps for IT, information systems, and AI enablement.
- Lead and develop IT, systems engineering, and AI enablement teams; hire, mentor, and set goals.
- Govern business applications, systems architecture, integrations, data flows, and system lifecycles.
- Identify opportunities for AI and automation and oversee delivery of tools, copilots, and workflows.
- Oversee global IT operations, endpoint and identity management, and employee support in partnership with Security.
- Establish systems and data policies, access controls, and compliance processes.
- Manage the MIS budget, technology spend, and vendor and outsourcing relationships.
- Ensure reliable systems data and reporting for business decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to translate needs into scalable systems solutions.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in MIS, IT, or business systems at a SaaS or technology company, including managing managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience leading IT operations, systems engineering, and business applications in a distributed environment.
- Track record of adopting AI and automation to improve productivity or efficiency.
- Understanding of CRM, ERP, HRIS, finance systems, integrations, and data architecture.
- Knowledge of IT security, governance, and compliance, including identity and access management, endpoint management, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Experience owning budgets and managing vendors, consultants, or outsourced partners.
- Able to set strategy and roadmaps while remaining involved in technical decisions and delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including executive partnership.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling IT and MIS in a high-growth, globally distributed SaaS company.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM tools, automation platforms, and internal copilots.
- Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits.
- Relevant degree or certifications such as ITIL, PMP, cloud, or security credentials.
