Network Engineering Manager
Lead and grow a global network architecture and engineering function. Own its roadmap, technical standards, operations, and budget while coordinating infrastructure work across multiple sites and teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, hire, and develop network architecture and engineering teams.
- Own the network roadmap and prioritize architecture and engineering initiatives.
- Review network architecture decisions covering LAN/WAN, routing, segmentation, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Oversee deployment, monitoring, and support of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
- Set and enforce network standards, security policies, and change-management practices.
- Manage network infrastructure vendors, licensing, and budgets.
- Lead escalations for critical network incidents across teams and time zones.
- Partner with IT, Security, R&D, and data center and cloud teams on infrastructure initiatives.
- Coordinate network projects across global offices and report team performance, project status, and infrastructure risks to senior leadership.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of network engineering experience, including architecture and/or team leadership.
- At least 3 years of direct people management experience, including hiring and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, Layer 2/3 networks, BGP/OSPF, routing, VLANs, and ACLs.
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, Cisco ASR routers, and site-to-site and client VPN technologies.
- Experience overseeing global, multi-site network operations across distributed teams and time zones.
- Experience with NAC (802.1X), wireless infrastructure, and network security practices.
- Ability to combine technical expertise with organizational and budget ownership.
- Strong communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional coordination.

- Experience with Equinix Fabric or Edge services, Linux networking (DPDK/SR-IOV), network automation, or IoT and telecommunications environments.
