Responsibilities

  • Lead international marketing and business development for naval defense solutions
  • Identify global markets, customers, programs, and strategic opportunities
  • Develop country-specific and market-entry strategies
  • Build relationships with navies, defense ministries, procurement organizations, military customers, representatives, system integrators, and partners
  • Generate new opportunities and lead the business development cycle from market mapping and lead generation through qualification, positioning, proposals, tenders, negotiations, and contract award
  • Translate naval operational needs into technological and commercial value propositions
  • Develop competitive positioning and go-to-market strategies for complex defense systems
  • Lead international tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and commercial proposals
  • Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations with international customers and partners
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, delegations, conferences, exhibitions, and defense industry events
  • Coordinate business development activities with engineering, program management, operations, legal, and executive teams

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on international marketing or business development experience in the defense industry
  • Proven success developing new international business for defense technologies or systems
  • Significant professional experience in the naval or maritime defense domain
  • Direct experience working with naval forces, ministries of defense, defense procurement organizations, or maritime military customers
  • Strong knowledge of the international naval defense market, operational environment, and procurement processes
  • Experience leading complex, long-cycle defense business development processes
  • Experience with international tenders, RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and commercial negotiations
  • Experience marketing or selling complex technological defense systems
  • Excellent business English, including presentations, negotiations, and professional writing
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently abroad
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, international relations, or another relevant discipline

Nice to have

  • Naval service or substantial operational experience in a navy
  • Experience with naval platforms, sonar, underwater systems, maritime surveillance, C4ISR, communications, sensors, or other maritime defense technologies
  • Established international relationships in the naval defense sector
  • Experience working with international representatives, agents, integrators, or strategic partners
  • Technical or engineering background
  • Master’s degree
