Supply Chain Analyst / Buyer

Plan procurement of materials, lead supplier negotiations, place and track purchase orders, manage inventory, and drive cost reduction. Requires 3-5 years in purchasing/procurement, ERP proficiency advantage, and fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan procurement of materials to support customer demand and new product introduction
  • Lead materials requirements and place purchase orders from outside suppliers
  • Negotiate prices and delivery with suppliers, monitor purchasing price variance
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve schedule obstacles, including non-conforming materials and vendor capacity constraints
  • Analyze inventory and Vendor Managed Inventory levels, communicate requirements to suppliers
  • Expedite purchase orders through receiving inspection to production stores
  • Participate in Material Review Board and vendor management meetings, resolve supplier quality issues
  • Evaluate and monitor acquisition of equipment/assets through Capital Procurement Assets process
  • Establish and maintain gross inventory targets, develop action plans
  • Identify, plan, and execute cost reduction and cycle time reduction initiatives
  • Update MRP parameters in manufacturing enterprise system
  • Perform other incidental duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement within startup or technology company
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes including RFQs, negotiation, supplier selection, purchase orders, tracking deliveries, processing invoices
  • Experience negotiating with local and international suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent English, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical
  • Experience working with global suppliers
