Developer Marketing Manager

Join a fintech infrastructure company to lead developer marketing for an API platform that enables builders to create financial products. This hands-on role focuses on driving adoption through technical content, community engagement, product launches, and growth experiments, working closely with product and development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the developer marketing strategy for the API platform.
  • Identify and engage key developer, founder, and product builder audiences.
  • Plan and execute product, feature, and community launches.
  • Create tutorials, demos, templates, guides, videos, and use cases.
  • Build programs across GitHub, Hacker News, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and developer communities.
  • Develop relationships with developers, creators, technical influencers, and community leaders.
  • Organize hackathons, workshops, meetups, build challenges, and live build sessions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Development to improve messaging, onboarding, and activation.
  • Identify friction points and improve time-to-first-build.
  • Build growth loops that encourage users to return, share, publish, and invite others.
  • Use AI daily for research, content creation, campaign development, and analysis.
  • Measure success through acquisition, activation, builds created, retention, sharing, community growth, and product adoption.

Requirements

  • Experience in developer marketing, developer growth, technical product marketing, Developer Relations, community-led growth, or product-led growth.
  • Experience marketing APIs, developer tools, infrastructure, platforms, cloud products, fintech products, or technical software.
  • Strong understanding of developer audiences and technical adoption journeys.
  • Experience with product launches and technical content.
  • Experience working directly with Product and Development teams.
  • Understanding of product funnels, activation, retention, and adoption.
  • Ability to explain complex technical capabilities clearly and credibly.
  • Strong English writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Practical experience using AI tools as part of daily work.
  • Highly creative, curious, energetic, and hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work independently without relying on a large team.

Nice to have

  • Experience in developer tools, API platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, low-code or no-code, open source, fintech infrastructure, payments APIs, embedded finance, or PLG.
  • Technical background is valuable but not required.
