Lead production engineering and manufacturing operations for advanced hardware products, partnering with contract manufacturers and internal R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational and technical alignment with contract manufacturers.
- Own production lines and resolve yield issues, component shortages, substitutions, and assembly problems.
- Oversee ECO and ECN implementation with configuration control across active production runs.
- Lead NPI handoffs from R&D into scalable volume manufacturing.
- Manage sustaining engineering, operational health, and end-of-life activities for legacy products.
- Create SOPs, assembly routings, build packages, and work instructions.
- Own production-side RMA triage, disposition, and turnaround processes.
- Share manufacturing and quality feedback with R&D and Quality teams to improve design for manufacturability.
- Track yield, scrap, and cycle-time metrics and implement engineering improvements.
- Coordinate the design, validation, and upgrading of assembly fixtures, jigs, and test setups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or NPI engineering in a multidisciplinary hardware environment.
- Experience with high-precision electronics, RF systems, or advanced scientific control equipment.
- Hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers, including assembly execution, technical alignment, yield tracking, and performance reviews.
- Experience transferring new product introductions into volume production and managing sustaining or legacy products.
- Experience managing and dispositioning production-side RMA workflows.
- Working knowledge of PLM, ERP, or MES systems such as Agile, Jira, Priority, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Professional written and spoken English for cross-functional and vendor collaboration.

- Lean Six Sigma certification or practical experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
