Deputy Program Manager
Director-level role leading cross-functional program execution for cloud and infrastructure initiatives in the public sector. Responsible for risk management, stakeholder engagement, financial tracking, and delivery of contractual commitments. Requires 14+ years of program management experience and an active security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate across matrixed teams to achieve program objectives.
- Support execution of large-scale cloud and infrastructure programs for public sector customers.
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to improve integration and alignment across interfacing programs.
- Support development of program-level briefings, documentation, and decision-support materials.
- Drive operational consistency through repeatable program management processes and best practices.
- Partner with customer stakeholders and internal organizations to ensure successful program delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables and overall program commitments.
- Lead internal and external collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 14+ years of relevant experience.
- Active security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience managing cloud or infrastructure programs for public sector customers.
- Strong understanding of cloud migration, modernization, and hybrid cloud delivery models.
- Experience supporting program management team execution and governance activities.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior customer and industry stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within complex, highly matrixed delivery organizations.
Nice to have
- PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification.
- Experience working within large system integrator or consulting organizations.
- Strong understanding of cloud operations, sustainment, and transition-to-operations models.
- Experience supporting mission-critical or highly regulated customer environments.
- Ability to identify opportunities for customer expansion, operational improvement, and strategic account growth.
