Technical Product Owner – Core Services
Own delivery and iteration for foundational platform capabilities in a cloud intelligence product. Translate strategy into prioritized backlogs, validate with customers, and partner with engineering to ship reliable, secure, and measurable increments.
Responsibilities
- Translate product strategy into a sequenced backlog of problems, user stories, and acceptance criteria for continuous delivery.
- Maintain disciplined backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and scope negotiation.
- Leverage hands-on DevOps and public cloud experience to deeply understand user workflows and identify friction.
- Conduct 3–5 customer calls per week to validate assumptions and pressure-test tradeoffs.
- Operate as an embedded member of the Core Services engineering team to ensure product intent survives implementation.
- Define success metrics and ensure releases are measurable with feedback loops into prioritization.
- Ensure product requirements account for IAM boundaries, auditability, and safe defaults.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience as Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
- Strong product sense for turning complex problems into clear scope and shipped value.
- Systems thinking and ability to reason about distributed systems and architectural tradeoffs.
- Deep technical fluency in cloud fundamentals (cost, IAM, networking, compute, Kubernetes, observability, automation).
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage customers and experts.
- Bias for action and continuous improvement.
