Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Support payroll and benefits administration for employees in Israel and EMEA, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, reporting, vendor coordination, and timely employee support.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and validate payroll inputs and submit them to the payroll vendor according to the payroll calendar
  • Validate gross-to-net calculations and payroll outputs for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure employees and payroll liabilities are paid on time and required employee documentation is completed
  • Maintain compliance with local payroll legislation and governmental requirements
  • Coordinate employee movements and changes with benefits vendors and third-party administrators
  • Transmit benefits data, process payroll-related changes, and reconcile complex benefits billing
  • Coordinate benefits plan changes and support the development of new programs and processes
  • Respond to complex employee payroll and benefits inquiries, including new-hire support
  • Prepare timely internal and external payroll and benefits reports
  • Provide documentation and reconciliation support for internal and external audits, including SOX requirements
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and payroll and benefits process documentation
  • Prepare HR knowledge articles and communications related to payroll, benefits, policies, and processes
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders and coach team members on payroll and benefits administration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of payroll analysis experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Israel and EMEA payroll principles, practices, legislation, and standards
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Workday HRIS
  • Knowledge of applicable compensation laws and regulations
  • Ability to identify and recommend improvements to payroll operations
  • Ability to comply with government requirements and legislation
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, assess risks, and work effectively across departments
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English

Nice to have

  • Certified Payroll Accountant qualification
  • Benefits administration experience
  • Experience leading project schedules and managing project workstreams
  • Continuous improvement and process optimization experience
