Senior Bookkeeper

Own the company’s day-to-day accounting through trial balance, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and financial reporting. This is a full-time, on-site role in North Tel Aviv.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s books independently through trial balance and prepare audit files for the external auditor.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment platforms, and eCommerce systems.
  • Process invoices, manage supplier payments, work with domestic and international vendors, analyze exchange-rate differences, and issue self-invoices.
  • Monitor imports, coordinate with customs brokers, and analyze inventory costs (COGS).
  • Prepare and submit periodic VAT, withholding, and advance tax reports.
  • Manage accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes; investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.

Requirements

  • Bookkeeping certification, Type 2.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
  • Independent experience managing accounts through trial balance.
  • Experience managing international suppliers, foreign-currency transactions, and exchange-rate differences.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliations.
  • High-level Hebrew and very good English for written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

  • Bookkeeping certification, Type 3.
  • Experience in eCommerce and payment-platform reconciliations.
  • Experience with Hashavshevet.
  • Familiarity with Dokka, Zoho, Shopify, or comparable ERP systems.
