Lead a 12-person team designing and developing electronic hardware for space systems. Oversee the development lifecycle from requirements definition through system integration and verification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Space Electronics Design Department and oversee space electronics development
- Manage a team of 12 engineers, including task assignment, workload planning, mentoring, and professional development
- Lead electronic board design and development, from requirements and specifications through detailed design and circuit development
- Coordinate with mechanical, thermal, and reliability engineering teams on system integration
- Define and execute integration and verification activities, analyze test results, and implement engineering improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing digital and analog electronic boards
Nice to have
- Experience leading or managing a hardware development team
- Familiarity with processors, programmable devices, memory components, and hardware interfaces
- Experience with hardware/software integration
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, SpaceWire, SPI, or UART protocols
