Join a leading international service provider for smart and sustainable buildings, driving the digital energy transition. As Technical Product Owner, you will own the core system that powers value-creating processes across 18 countries, leading its modernization from a monolithic architecture to a modern cloud-based microservices landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT, translating functional requirements into precise technical specifications and ensuring architectural compliance.
  • Drive the modernization of legacy systems (Oracle PL/SQL, Delphi, .NET Framework) by defining roadmap items for refactoring and migration to microservices on Azure AKS using C#.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with technical expertise, balancing new features against technical debt reduction.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of initiatives from discovery and architecture design through implementation to go-live and stable operations.
  • Manage stakeholders by moderating workshops, aligning expectations on scope and timelines, and coordinating collaboration across international hubs.
  • Embed a data-first mindset within the team and ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security are integral to every user story.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Lead, or in an architecture-related role.
  • Deep understanding of software architectures, including relational databases (Oracle PL/SQL) and modern cloud platforms (Azure, containers, microservices).
  • Willingness to work with legacy technologies (Delphi, .NET Framework) and transform them intelligently.
  • Strong proficiency in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their effective application in complex enterprise environments.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to say no when technically necessary and to convey complex topics clearly to management.
  • Business fluency in both German and English, and willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 20%) to other sites.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours and mobile work options.
  • 30 days of vacation plus special leave and payments.
  • Company laptop and commuting allowance.
  • Capital-forming benefits and subsidized company pension scheme.
  • Systematic development programs and a varied seminar program through the internal academy.
  • Support for work-life balance, including childcare, caregiving, and mental health services.
  • Free water, fair-trade coffee, and tea at all locations.
  • Bike leasing, active health management, and corporate benefits discounts.
