RemoteFull-timeProduct ManagementBusiness Consulting and Services

Seeking a Product Owner / Product Ownership Coach to join a consulting firm that helps mid-sized companies and enterprises improve collaboration, product innovation, and digital transformation. You will coach product owners and teams, take on interim PO roles, and support leadership in portfolio management and agile practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as an interim Product Owner on client projects, managing the full product development lifecycle from requirements gathering to backlog refinement and stakeholder management.
  • Coach product teams to unlock their full potential in product development and enhance collaboration.
  • Mentor Product Owners through practical methods, workshops, and sparring on their specific challenges.
  • Support leadership in portfolio management, strategic decision-making, team development, and product leadership.
  • Guide product organizations holistically in building and evolving their culture, structure, and processes.
  • Foster genuine product ownership by enabling product teams to act as autonomous, self-responsible units.
  • Share knowledge as a trainer in internal training formats, such as Product Owner certification courses.
  • Collaborate closely with Agile Coaches to sustainably embed agile values.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role.
  • Several years as part of an agile product development team (e.g., PO, Scrum Master, or subject matter expert) with foundational knowledge of digital software development.
  • Combination of theoretical expertise and practical experience with digital tools (Jira & Co.) and agile methods, frameworks, coaching, and communication techniques.
  • Proficiency in using AI as a daily work tool.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for working with professionals and executives in German and English.
  • Good conceptual skills for designing workshops, individual trainings, and work sessions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to recognize opportunities and shape processes with a clear strategic focus.
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region for workshops or on-site collaboration.

Benefits

  • Self-organization instead of hierarchy: work in roles, not titles, without classical management, using a proprietary organizational model.
  • Fair compensation with automatic salary steps based on a transparent system.
  • Freely usable annual training budget for personal development.
  • Location freedom, flexible working hours, and an office in Düsseldorf for collaborative work.
  • Up to €600 monthly support for children under three years old.
  • Company library with professional books freely accessible.
  • Annual team retreat and joint events.
