Join a large retail company near Hannover as a Product Owner for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will take product responsibility for the central finance ERP platform, structure requirements from the finance department, prioritize based on business value, and actively develop the backlog, roadmap, and target vision.
Responsibilities
- Take product ownership for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the central finance ERP platform, structuring requirements from the finance area and prioritizing them according to business value.
- Translate business requirements into clear backlog items and specifications, and conduct regular meetings with the business department, operations, and developers.
- Collaborate with a Business Analyst to explore implementation options and ensure consistent, technically sound implementation as the 'voice of the product'.
- Steer the development process and ensure compliance with development and testing standards, initially establishing and continuously improving these standards.
- Ensure continuous exchange with the international department and work on harmonizing Business Central instances, processes, master data, and integrations.
- Work closely with other roles in the team and stakeholders in the finance area, proactively engaging in technical sparring, moderating technical decisions, and contributing to solution designs and process optimizations.
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree or equivalent qualification, along with professional experience as a Product Owner in a finance environment, IT, or a comparable interface function.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or a comparable finance ERP, and understanding of core financial processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, or reporting.
- Proficiency in agile methods, backlog and stakeholder management, and routine use of associated tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking combined with a highly independent and results-oriented working style.
- Motivated team player with excellent communication skills when dealing with business departments and stakeholders, and a collaborative attitude.
