Product Manager - Virtual/Digital SATCOM Solutions

Join a leading high-tech company specializing in satellite communications, radar systems, and microwave sensors. As Product Manager, you will drive the next generation of virtualized SATCOM solutions, shaping global connectivity through innovation in space, ground, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for DIFI-based virtual satellite communication products, aligning with business goals and market needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure product success from concept to launch.
  • Conduct market analysis and customer interviews to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Capture, analyze, and document technical and functional requirements for virtual SATCOM products in partnership with customers.
  • Maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead key stakeholder reviews, presenting project status, risks, and ROI recommendations to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Monitor product performance and customer satisfaction post-launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, ideally in satellite communications or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of satellite communication technologies, standards, and market trends.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
  • Experience in managing technical requirements and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Professional proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the VITA 49.2-based DIFI protocol and IP networks.
  • Experience with RF systems, modems, ground stations, or satellite payloads.
