IT Product Owner - EPC Project Delivery

Seeking an IT Product Owner to own the global portfolio of EPC IT applications supporting planning, control, and execution of engineering and construction projects. The role defines product vision, roadmap, and investment priorities, translating project delivery needs into scalable digital capabilities while ensuring adoption, reliability, and commercial sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and investment portfolio for EPC Project Delivery.
  • Translate common needs across Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning into scalable product capabilities and measurable outcomes.
  • Own portfolio lifecycle decisions, including investment, improvement, consolidation, replacement, and retirement.
  • Ensure products are successfully delivered, adopted, integrated, secure, reliable, and supportable.
  • Manage product budgets, service performance, licenses, risks, vendors, and delivery partners.
  • Lead the product team and establish effective governance across business stakeholders, Corporate IT, and external partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing digital products, enterprise applications, or technology-enabled business capabilities within EPC, engineering, construction, or comparable capital-project environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong expertise in product and application portfolio management, including strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, investment decisions, and lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of EPC project delivery and construction business processes, including planning, project controls, cost management, construction, or information management.
  • Good knowledge of solution architecture, systems integration, data management, cybersecurity, and IT service management.
  • Commercially minded leader with experience managing budgets, software licensing, sourcing, vendor performance, and total cost of ownership.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, influence international stakeholders, and drive technology-enabled transformation.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Primavera, SAP, RIB, SharePoint, or comparable platforms.
  • German language skills are considered a strong advantage.
