Seeking a Global Product Manager to own the strategy and performance of a robotic MIG/MAG welding portfolio at a leading machinery manufacturer. This role bridges market needs, R&D, and sales to drive innovation in automated welding solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global product strategy for robotic MIG/MAG and automation solutions.
- Manage the full product lifecycle and portfolio performance.
- Translate market trends and customer needs into product requirements.
- Monitor trends in robotics, automation, Industry 4.0, and digital welding.
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with R&D to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead validation, prototyping, and industrialization activities.
- Define global launch and positioning strategies.
- Support sales teams with training, tools, and technical content.
- Work closely with OEMs, integrators, and key customers.
- Ensure portfolio profitability, margins, and cost optimization.
- Build business cases for new developments and investments.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (welding, mechanical, electrical, automation or similar).
- Experience in MIG/MAG welding and/or robotic welding applications.
- Strong understanding of industrial robotics (ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa).
- Knowledge of automation, welding systems, and digital manufacturing trends.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate technical complexity into clear communication.
- Proactive, structured, and international mindset.
- Fluent English and German language knowledge.
