Seeking a highly skilled 2D Artist to join a remote game development team in pre-production. Responsibilities include full-cycle 2D art creation: style selection, AI-assisted generation, retouching, and final polish. Accelerate pipeline, propose concepts, optimize processes, and prepare assets for engine. Must have strong classical art foundation, extensive AI tool experience, and a keen eye for style and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle 2D art creation in pre-production: style selection, content generation, assembly, retouching, and final polishing.
  • Accelerate pre-production pipeline and improve content quality through faster delivery and concept experimentation.
  • Experiment with visuals, proactively propose ideas to enhance content.
  • Optimize and improve internal pre-production team processes related to 2D art.
  • Prepare and assemble assets for the engine.

Requirements

  • Solid classical art fundamentals: composition, color, light, perspective, anatomy; retouching, paint-over, fixing neural network artifacts.
  • Extensive experience with AI tools: Flux (local launch, checkpoints, samplers, CFG), LoRA (own training, dataset, tags, parameters, and proper selection of external ones).
  • Ability to maintain strict character and style consistency across generations.
  • Experience in upscaling and final image finishing.
  • Strong aesthetics, taste, and sense of style.
  • Willingness to work with 18+ explicit content.
  • Responsibility and strict deadline adherence.
  • Ability to work with minimal input, understand tasks quickly.
  • Generate a flow of ideas and alternatives rather than a single solution.
  • Calm attitude towards revisions, ready to discard unsuitable concepts.
  • Initiative in processes, willingness to share workflow with the team.
  • 'Tooling curiosity': continuous interest in new tools and optimization methods.
