Design and balance mathematical models for browser and mobile slot and crash games, supporting simulation, implementation verification, certification, and live performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design mathematical models for slot and crash games, including RTP, volatility, hit frequency, paytables, reel strips, multiplier curves, and house edge
- Model and balance free spins, multipliers, Hold & Win features, jackpots, Buy Feature mechanics, and cash-out systems
- Tune RTP and volatility for business, market, operator, and regulatory requirements
- Build Monte Carlo simulation tools to validate game mathematics across large numbers of rounds
- Validate crash-game models and crash-point generation for statistical soundness and provable fairness where applicable
- Work with developers to verify mathematical models, RNG behavior, and outcome logic
- Prepare mathematical documentation and support certification with testing labs and regulators
- Analyze live-game RTP, hit rates, and crash-point distributions
- Investigate and resolve payout, RTP, rounding, and other math-related production issues
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Game Mathematician, Quant, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, combinatorics, distributions, expected value, and variance
- Experience with slot and crash-game mathematics, including reel strips, paytables, feature frequency, multipliers, and house edge
- Proficiency in Monte Carlo simulation and mathematical modeling with Python and/or C#
- Ability to visualize mathematical models in Python using tools such as Matplotlib
- Knowledge of RNG and provably fair mechanisms, including hash-based seeds, HMAC, and verification
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and basic SQL
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with UKGC, MGA, Curaçao, or other gaming certification requirements
- Knowledge of real-money gaming and FinTech requirements
- Experience with crash, slot, or instant-win games
