An aerospace and defense organization is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop software for complex airborne and safety-critical systems. The role covers requirements, design, coding, verification, system testing, field trials, and cross-functional engineering integration.
Responsibilities
- Identify and define software requirements
- Design software solutions for complex airborne systems
- Develop high-precision software in C or C++
- Prepare software requirements documentation
- Conduct comprehensive software testing
- Establish and participate in system-level tests and field trials
- Integrate closely with other engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
- At least 5 years of software development experience
- Strong experience with C++ or C
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Nice to have
- Experience developing embedded or real-time software
