Own project quality and safety assurance from tender through contract closure, coordinating quality functions, suppliers, customers, audits, and corrective actions for rail projects in northern Israel. The role includes some internal and external travel.
Responsibilities
- Represent the customer’s quality interests within the project organization
- Establish, maintain, and improve the Project Quality Management Plan
- Coordinate engineering, industrial, supplier, system, and subsystem quality activities
- Support criticality assessments, FMEA, inspections, audits, and quality approvals
- Prepare and follow up on quality gate reviews and action plans
- Report safety alerts and manage non-conformities and safety issues
- Verify technical modifications, design-change compliance, and implementation quality
- Coordinate safety reviews, authorizations, customer inspections, and delivery approvals
- Own and maintain the Supplier Part List and coordinate first-article inspection activities
- Ensure customer acceptance criteria and product history documentation are prepared
- Support customer satisfaction surveys and associated improvement plans
- Facilitate 8D, QRQC, corrective, preventive, and lessons-learned activities
- Monitor quality indicators, cost of non-quality, project risks, and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate quality documentation and activities for technology transfer and tender support
Requirements
- Graduate or postgraduate engineering degree with a management background
- Fluent English
- Awareness of project processes and products
- Experience with quality and problem-solving tools
- Experience in operational activities and documentation management
- Experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional or geographically distributed teams
- Awareness of electrical standards
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI, or ECM
- Knowledge of Lean principles and problem-solving methodologies
- Customer-focused, process-oriented, and data-driven approach
