Senior Technical Pre-Sales Engineer
Join a defense technology product team as a customer-facing technical engineer responsible for demonstrations, training, system bring-up, field evaluations, and technical sales support. The role requires hands-on work with complex systems in operational environments and regular international travel.
Responsibilities
- Present and demonstrate products through live demonstrations, technical briefings, and proof-of-concept sessions.
- Deliver customer training and create instructional materials for operational and training environments.
- Lead system bring-up and configuration at customer sites, including subsystem connectivity and first-line technical support.
- Run pilots and field evaluations from setup and configuration through operation and assessment.
- Support technical customer requirements, discussions, and RFI/RFP responses during the sales cycle.
- Adapt demonstrations and presentations for field operators, senior command personnel, and procurement teams.
- Maintain and improve product demonstration environments, scenarios, and training materials.
- Collaborate with product, systems engineering, UX, operations, and software engineering teams.
- Capture customer and field feedback and translate it into actionable product and engineering insights.
- Support customers in challenging conditions, including degraded connectivity and GNSS-denied environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
- Tactical or operational experience using or supporting mission-critical systems in the field.
- Strong experience presenting and demonstrating complex technical systems to customers and senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of software and system architecture, with the ability to participate in technical discussions and troubleshoot independently.
- Hands-on, practical approach and willingness to operate systems in the field.
- Strong problem-solving and self-learning abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English for direct work with international customers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High independence, ownership, and responsibility.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work at customer sites and field demonstrations.
- Eligibility to obtain the required security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with C4I, tactical mapping, battle management, RF, or communications systems.
- Hands-on coding or scripting experience.
- Experience building or managing technical demonstration environments.
- Experience delivering technical training to customers or operational teams.
- Familiarity with AI and modern productivity tools.
- Languages beyond Hebrew and English.
- Experience with defense forces, defense integrators, or international defense customers.
