Join a healthcare technology team developing computer-assisted and robotic-assisted surgical solutions. Lead system engineering work to improve patient outcomes and surgical efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional design, development, testing, and documentation of system solutions using software and hardware
- Define user and business needs, use cases, requirements, and system architecture
- Analyze and select system concepts to meet requirements, operating environments, and the system vision
- Plan and lead user evaluations in surgical lab environments and other formative evaluation settings
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, product hazards, and failure modes
- Troubleshoot system integration and support introduction of designs into surgical procedures
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in computer-assisted and robotic-assisted surgery and clinical procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Fluent technical English, spoken and written
Nice to have
- Medical device industry or surgical techniques experience
- Experience planning and conducting user evaluations, analyzing results, and presenting design recommendations
- Software, algorithm, or GUI design experience and iterative development practices
- Familiarity with scripting languages, Polarion, Jira, Miro, or Figma
