Lead the definition, architecture, design, integration, delivery, and lifecycle management of software systems for complex command-and-control mission platforms.
Responsibilities
- Define software requirements, architecture, and design across the mission system lifecycle
- Own software components for ground-based systems and ensure delivery across required environments and platforms
- Set work baselines, approve implementation, and control compliance with software system documentation
- Prepare, approve, coordinate, and supervise testing and mission-system integration activities
- Write software-system processes and manage requirements traceability
- Analyze software risks, resolve faults, manage changes, and maintain software configuration control
- Monitor schedule, budget, quality, and implementation decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering
- At least five years of experience in systems engineering, project leadership, software-based systems development, communications, or IT
- Experience leading software development or system engineering activities
Nice to have
- Master’s degree
- Experience with command-and-control systems
- Experience leading cross-system integrations in varied industries
