Responsibilities
- Measure and characterize discrete and integrated optical frequency combs with silicon photonic devices
- Perform electrical and optical measurements in a high-speed photonics laboratory
- Design and execute experiments
- Develop laboratory automation and analyze experimental data
- Collaborate with researchers and engineering teams to transition technology from research and development toward production
Requirements
- Currently beginning an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Experience with optics
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python and willingness to use other programming languages
- Creativity in solving challenging technical problems
- Interest in working in a laboratory environment
Nice to have
- Optical laboratory experience
- Experience with laboratory automation and instrument control
- Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technical fields
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
