Lead end-to-end development and integration projects for an aerospace defense system, from initiation and engineering through flight testing and operational delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and systems integration projects from initiation through development, implementation, flight testing, and operational customer delivery.
- Own project lifecycle management, scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, and delivery targets.
- Manage daily customer relationships, status reviews, change management, expectation setting, and customer satisfaction.
- Support commercial activities, including quotations, business negotiations, tender responses, techno-economic proposals, work plans, and milestones.
- Prepare professional marketing materials, presentations, and demonstrations for prospective customers.
- Coordinate engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and quality teams through matrix management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and bottlenecks, resolve issues in real time, and maintain business continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or systems engineering, or significant operational experience with a strong technical background.
- At least 3 years of experience managing complex projects or programs, or working in systems engineering, within the defense industry.
- Proven experience leading the lifecycle of integrated hardware and software technology projects from requirements definition through integration and delivery.
- Demonstrated business, commercial, and technical negotiation skills.
- Experience with defense procurement processes, contract management, and government or military customers in Israel or abroad.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including project reviews and professional representation to customers and senior management.
- Strong matrix-management, coordination, decision-making, and risk-management capabilities.
- High-level English proficiency for technical, business, and marketing discussions, reading, and writing.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Nice to have
- Experience with tactical networking, data communications, or avionics systems.
- Significant operational background with a strong technology orientation may substitute for an engineering degree.
