Lead the operational backbone of an engineering organization by improving execution, visibility, planning, and cross-functional alignment across R&D.
Responsibilities
- Manage the engineering organization’s operational rhythm, including quarterly planning, sprint demonstrations, leadership meetings, offsites, and communications.
- Own retrospectives and follow-up processes, tracking action items and driving accountability across teams.
- Monitor engineering commitments and surface risks, blockers, dependencies, and bottlenecks to leadership.
- Improve processes and reduce operational friction across engineering, research, and product workflows.
- Partner with engineering managers on planning, scoping, execution, and delivery.
- Own tooling decisions for project tracking, documentation, and knowledge management.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, product, operations, finance, HR, and legal.
- Manage or co-own R&D operating budgets covering travel, training, and engineering activities.
- Lead or support strategic initiatives across the engineering organization.
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks for engineering health, delivery metrics, and operational performance.
- Promote AI adoption and literacy across engineering workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D operations, program management, technical program management, or a similar leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering, quality assurance, product development, or another technical R&D role.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional programs and driving execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methods, sprint planning, release management, and engineering practices.
- Experience improving engineering processes, delivery efficiency, and organizational execution.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into executive updates and actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across engineering, product, HR, finance, legal, and operations.
- Experience building dashboards and using project or engineering delivery tools such as Jira, LinearB, or similar platforms.

- Active use of AI tools to improve productivity and support AI adoption in engineering workflows.
