Lead cross-functional R&D programs, turning scientific and engineering goals into structured plans and delivering complex technology projects against company milestones.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of R&D projects in photonics, electronics, or quantum systems.
- Coordinate physicists, optical and electronics engineers, and software developers to support hardware and software subsystem integration.
- Track milestones, identify technical bottlenecks and schedule risks, and drive mitigation with project leads.
- Translate scientific goals into actionable engineering work and provide clear progress updates to executive stakeholders.
- Implement project management approaches suited to fast-evolving deep-tech R&D.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or advanced degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience as a technical project manager, program manager, or systems engineer on complex hardware-oriented R&D projects.
- Ability to understand scientific and engineering discussions, review architectural designs, and engage with technical tradeoffs.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills; proactive and able to drive alignment across technical teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in photonics, quantum computing, or high-precision optical or electronic systems.
- Previous experience as an R&D engineer.
