Lead management and technical oversight of a humanitarian consortium based in Jerusalem, supporting high-quality programming for poor and vulnerable communities. The role includes travel to Gaza for up to 30% of working time.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the consortium strategy, shared vision, workplans, and roadmap.
- Chair steering committee, field management, and technical working group meetings.
- Provide technical oversight across project design, start-up, implementation, and close-out.
- Track deliverables, reporting, donor compliance, quality standards, expenditures, and resource stewardship.
- Manage and develop the consortium management unit, including coaching, performance management, and staff well-being.
- Represent the consortium with external stakeholders and donors.
- Lead learning, research, publications, knowledge management, and integration of good practices.
- Support fundraising, technical proposal development, budgeting, and staffing plans.
- Oversee technical assistance and capacity strengthening for staff and partner organizations.
- Strengthen partnerships and ensure appropriate partnership approaches.
- Ensure programs incorporate security analysis and comply with relevant standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, international relations, economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant field-based project management experience.
- Experience managing moderately complex projects.
- Experience with MEAL, project grants management, project design, and implementation.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to travel to Gaza for up to 30% of working time.
- Experience managing staff and working with partner organizations.
- Strong proposal writing, analytical, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web conferencing applications, and information management systems.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Experience managing consortia or facilitating networks and partnerships.
- Experience working in contexts with significant access constraints.
- Experience with remote management.
- Knowledge of Sphere standards or other humanitarian response training.
- Arabic language skills.
