Manage the Basic Needs Consortium from Jerusalem, with travel to Gaza of up to 30%. Lead consortium strategy, partner coordination, program quality, donor engagement, grants, learning, and team management in a humanitarian response.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the consortium strategy, shared vision, workplan, and roadmap.
- Chair steering committee, field management, and technical working group meetings.
- Provide technical oversight across project design, start-up, implementation, and close-out.
- Track deliverables, reporting, donor compliance, quality standards, expenditures, and resource stewardship.
- Manage and develop the Consortium Management Unit, including supervision, coaching, staff well-being, and performance management.
- Represent the consortium with partners, donors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead program learning, research, publications, knowledge management, and dissemination of lessons learned.
- Support fundraising, proposal development, budgeting, and staffing plans.
- Oversee technical assistance and capacity strengthening for staff and partners.
- Strengthen partnerships and ensure security analysis is integrated into program design and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, international relations, economics, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant field-based project management experience.
- Experience managing moderately complex projects.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience with MEAL, project grants management, project design, and technical proposal writing.
- Experience engaging partner organizations and managing staff.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, analytical, negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web conferencing applications, and information management systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Gaza up to 30%.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Experience managing consortia or working in network and partnership settings.
- Experience in access-constrained contexts or with remote management.
- Knowledge of Sphere standards and humanitarian response training.
- Arabic language skills.
- Experience working with ECHO or other public donors.
