Director of Product Development

Lead a product development and design team and oversee physical products from concept through design, prototyping, packaging, production, and launch. This is a full-time, on-site role in Tel Aviv, with working hours Monday to Thursday, 9:00–18:00, and Friday, 8:00–16:00.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop the Product Development & Design team.
  • Set creative and development direction across product categories and projects.
  • Oversee product development from concept and design through prototyping, production, packaging, and launch.
  • Review and approve concepts, 3D designs, packaging, prototypes, and final deliverables.
  • Ensure products meet brand, licensor, commercial, technical, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead packaging development, including graphic and structural considerations, die cuts, and materials.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, priorities, and resources.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Licensing, Sales, Production, and other internal teams.
  • Collaborate with international licensors, factories, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing a product development, design, or creative team.
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing physical consumer products.
  • Strong experience in product design, packaging, and 3D development.
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator.
  • Strong visual judgment, commercial thinking, and practical problem-solving.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented approach.

Nice to have

  • Experience with toys, collectibles, stationery, consumer products, or related fields.
  • Experience with international factories, suppliers, manufacturing partners, licensed brands, or international licensors.
  • Experience with 3D design or visualization software.
  • A portfolio of relevant product, packaging, 3D, or creative development work.
