Lead a team of integration and automation engineers to manage the daily integration of OS deliveries into a large-scale software stack. Drive continuous integration, test coverage optimization, and cross-team issue resolution to ensure reliable system-level integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 integration and automation engineers.
- Manage daily integration of aggregated OS deliveries into the software stack.
- Track changes from OS development teams and manage integration order, priorities, test coverage, and conflicts.
- Facilitate daily integration forums to review nightly test reports, triage issues, and assign them to development teams.
- Maintain system-level understanding of OS features and monitor test coverage developed by OS developers.
- Track utilization, health, and allocation of hardware resources in the testing farm.
- Balance test coverage with hardware availability by monitoring CI load.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all OS integration issues, both internal and external.
- Track bug escapes and ensure their mitigation through OS test coverage improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Prior experience in a tech lead or leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software integration.
- Strong proficiency in C and Python programming.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to track and isolate issues.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and automation methodologies and tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded Linux kernel development.
