Lead an engineering team responsible for R&D, design, testing, and production support for aviation products. The role includes engineering leadership, regulatory coordination, and collaboration with company leadership. Overtime and international travel are required.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately five engineers and oversee their professional development.
- Manage R&D, engineering design, and testing activities.
- Provide engineering guidance and support to production and assembly lines.
- Support product marketing and sales activities.
- Recruit, onboard, and train engineers.
- Lead continuous improvement in work processes and cross-functional interfaces.
- Drive efficiency and technology improvements to product quality.
- Deliver work plans while meeting quality, schedule, and budget targets.
- Coordinate product licensing with aviation regulators and customers.
- Plan and participate in tests in Israel and abroad.
Requirements
- Engineering degree
- At least 3 years of direct experience managing an engineering team
- At least 3 years of mechanical design experience
- High-level English, including writing, reading, and speaking
- Israeli citizenship
Nice to have
- Relevant master's degree
- Aviation industry experience
- Experience with static and dynamic strength analysis
- Experience leading environmental, static, and dynamic tests
- Familiarity with HyperMesh-RADIOSS and Patran/Nastran
