Lead a full-stack software team building scalable trading applications and production AI systems. Set technical direction, raise engineering standards, and contribute hands-on across architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a full-stack development team across architecture, implementation, and production delivery.
- Set technical direction and make hands-on backend, frontend, and AI architecture decisions.
- Build initial solutions and establish engineering standards and best practices.
- Identify technical and process pain points and drive improvements.
- Coordinate daily work, remove blockers, and foster psychological safety.
- Own end-to-end quality assurance and promote shift-left testing practices.
- Partner with Product and Design to turn business objectives into scalable technical roadmaps.
- Develop engineers through guidance, feedback, delegation, and coaching.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a team lead.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js/NestJS, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying AI agents to production using LLM frameworks and infrastructure such as AWS Bedrock, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
- Experience applying AI throughout the software development lifecycle, including coding, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud-based microservices architectures for high-scale, high-throughput production systems.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ownership, delivery leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and commitment to team development through feedback and delegation.
Nice to have
- Experience with monorepo environments.
- Knowledge of Pub/Sub technologies such as Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Background in fintech, trading, or financial markets.
- Research, patents, or significant open-source contributions in AI systems.
