Manage a software engineering team in Haifa, working onsite to build scalable, accessible web applications and services for digital education products used by millions of learners.
Responsibilities
- Manage software engineering team members
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications
- Build scalable backend services and APIs
- Drive product architecture and technical decisions
- Lead full-cycle software development from ideation through launch
- Collaborate with product, UX, and QA teams
- Promote software development best practices
- Use iterative development and real-time user feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 4 years of hands-on frontend or full-stack web development experience
- At least 3 years of team management experience
- Expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular and state management tools such as Redux
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
- Experience with modular styling systems such as CSS-in-JS or SASS/SCSS
- Experience evolving design systems and component libraries
- Knowledge of web performance optimization, responsive design, cross-browser testing, and mobile-first development
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, service-oriented architecture, and modern web architecture
- Experience with AWS or Azure and MySQL or NoSQL databases
Nice to have
- Experience with server-side rendering or Next.js
- Familiarity with Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
- Exposure to mobile web or hybrid app development
