Project Engineer
Lead engineering activities for large-scale irrigation and water infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering. Manage stakeholder interfaces and ensure integrated project solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities from feasibility through concept, general, and detailed design.
- Develop hydraulic, mechanical, electrical & control, and civil engineering solutions including drainage, earthworks, and structural design.
- Perform and manage data collection, surveys, site visits, and technical reports.
- Prepare and review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and method statements.
- Integrate irrigation design, hydraulics, agronomy, electro-mechanical systems, piping, and civil works into cohesive project solutions.
- Manage internal interfaces with Business Units, Engineering, Procurement, and Logistics.
- Act as the technical focal point for clients, consultants, and external engineering partners.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical-economic evaluations, and support business development.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Civil, Mechanical, Water, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in water, irrigation, or infrastructure projects as Project Engineer.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BricsCAD, or WaterCAD.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- M.Sc. degree is an advantage.
- GIS knowledge is an advantage.
