Lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts building scalable data platforms and AI-powered services for fraud and risk intelligence products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Define the technical vision and architecture for scalable data platforms and AI-powered services.
- Build and scale distributed, cloud-native systems.
- Drive engineering best practices, technical leadership, and architectural reviews.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Platform Engineering, and Operations.
- Improve system reliability, data quality, model performance, and operational efficiency.
- Own team delivery, hiring, and development of a high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong experience designing scalable distributed backend systems.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures; AWS experience is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar language.
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms and large-scale data processing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, EMR, Databricks, Iceberg, or Delta Lake.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, monitoring, or observability platforms.
