Lead the design and development of advanced electro-optical laser systems for defense. Manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams, oversee system integration, and ensure technical and schedule compliance. Requires 5+ years of complex system development leadership, strong system understanding, and experience in military-grade technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-disciplinary development activities, coordinating mechanical, optical, software, electronics, and systems engineers.
- Make critical design and development decisions, approving milestones.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to meet customer satisfaction.
- Oversee system requirements and conduct design reviews, integration, testing, and trials.
- Prioritize engineering tasks and evaluate technical alternatives.
- Develop prototypes and run experiments to validate capabilities and reduce risks.
- Allocate resources and ensure delivery of system commitments.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Engineering, Electro-Optics, or Physics.
- Minimum 5 years leading development in complex multi-disciplinary system programs.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong system-level understanding and multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
- Fast learner, able to integrate into new technological domains.
- Experience in workplan creation, risk management, and budget control.
- High commitment, willingness to work intensive hours.
Nice to have
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Engineering or Physics.
- Experience in laser development.
- Experience in military electro-optical system development.
