Join a nationwide provider of financial, digital, and logistics services as a Systems Analyst supporting business-critical core banking systems in an IBM Mainframe and COBOL environment. Own work from requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed HLD and DLD technical specifications.
- Analyze existing systems and processes and identify gaps against business needs.
- Coordinate with COBOL and Mainframe developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and interface teams.
- Support development, testing, implementation, and production deployment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage work plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
- Support system availability and business continuity in a mission-critical environment.
- Work with DB2 and SQL Server databases in a complex, matrix-based organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst working with COBOL-based core systems in an IBM Mainframe environment.
- Hands-on experience working with COBOL and Mainframe development teams.
- Professional experience in banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of IBM Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, and SQL Server.
- Experience gathering business requirements and writing detailed HLD and DLD technical specifications.
- A relevant academic degree, practical engineering diploma, or professional training in Information Systems or Systems Analysis.
- Strong system-level understanding and experience with complex, large-scale systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with MASAV, account management, or customer management systems.
- Experience with payments, liens or garnishments, financial regulation, and compliance.
