Own financial close, reporting and controls for a growing, multi-product company. Partner with the CFO on financial planning, investor reporting and process improvements. The role is based in Israel, generally on-site with light hybrid flexibility, and reports to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly and annual close processes
- Manage payroll processing and related compliance
- Prepare annual financial reports and statutory filings
- Manage the annual audit and relationships with external auditors
- Prepare investor reports and support board and investor materials
- Build and maintain financial controls and processes
- Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting and cash management
- Identify ways to automate and streamline finance processes
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounts payable
Requirements
- At least 5 years of finance and accounting experience, including hands-on Controller or Assistant Controller work in a startup
- Israeli CPA and strong knowledge of Israeli GAAP
- Very strong Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Experience managing financial processes including month-end close, payroll, annual and investor reports
- Experience preparing tax reports, including VAT and corporate tax, and liaising with tax authorities
- Experience with an ERP or accounting system used by Israeli startups, such as Priority, NetSuite or SAP Business One
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work
