Power and Performance Engineer
Join an engineering team building AI hardware solutions. Own power and performance measurement and optimization across large-scale AI data center pods. This role follows a hybrid work model and is based primarily in Haifa, with an additional location in Petah-Tikva.
Responsibilities
- Own pod-level power and performance metrics, including performance per watt, capacity, and utilization.
- Operate and provide requirements and feedback for the modeling and telemetry platform.
- Aggregate silicon and rack data at pod level, reconcile measured and modeled metrics, and manage power and performance budgets.
- Drive power telemetry, capping, and dynamic power management to maximize throughput within thermal and power limits.
- Develop workload characterization and benchmarking pipelines to identify bottlenecks and inform capacity planning.
- Coordinate with facilities, electrical, and platform teams on power distribution, PUE targets, and peak-demand management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in power, performance, systems optimization, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of CPU/GPU power management, performance counters, and Linux power frameworks.
- Experience analyzing data with Python and/or SQL.
Nice to have
- Experience with PUE or thermal modeling, pod-level capacity planning, or AI cluster scaling.
