Develop CAD tools, software automation, and integrated methodologies that accelerate ASIC and SoC physical-design workflows for custom silicon programs. The role is based in Israel, with work locations available in Tel Aviv or Haifa.
Responsibilities
- Provide compute, storage, and methodology support for chip design, verification, and physical-design teams.
- Collaborate with ASIC teams to implement tools and development methodologies.
- Design and implement CAD tools, solutions, and methodologies for ASIC development.
- Extend third-party EDA tools through their dedicated APIs.
- Automate and integrate physical-design stages including floorplanning, power planning, synthesis, place and route, clock-tree synthesis, timing closure, STA, DRC, LVS, and DFM.
- Develop hardware automation and integrate software into automated physical-design flows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience with scripting for automation, including shell or Python.
- Strong software engineering experience relevant to CAD and EDA automation.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience developing hardware automation for physical design and integrating software into automated flows.
- Experience addressing bottlenecks in ASIC and SoC EDA workflows.
- Experience with advanced technology nodes.
