A defense and space manufacturing company in Rehovot is seeking an AIT System Engineer to join the development of advanced electro-optical remote sensing space systems. The role involves defining integration processes, leading calibration campaigns, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and prepare systems integration processes, setups, test plans, and test reports.
- Define and manage optomechanical measurements and calibrations using optical test equipment.
- Lead systems and sub-systems optical and electro-optical calibration campaigns and testing activities during development and qualification.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define optimal solutions.
- Define test equipment required for systems and sub-systems level tests and integrations.
- Lead automation improvements of calibration processes and test data analysis.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electro Optical Engineering, Optomechanical, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in electro-opto-mechanical system engineering or development of complex multidisciplinary systems.
- Experience leading engineering processes in a matrix environment.
- Experience conducting system design reviews and V&V/integration activities.
- High level technical English – reading, writing, and speaking.
Nice to have
- M.Sc. in Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Matlab, Python, or LabView.
- Experience in electro-optical system development, calibrations, and integration.
- Familiarity with space system development.
