Join an R&D team developing high-precision medical devices. Own mechanical components and sub-systems from concept and design through prototyping, verification, validation, and transfer to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Participate in mechanical design and development for product systems.
- Lead mechanical development tasks and R&D sub-projects.
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies and produce 2D drawings.
- Develop test methods and design fixtures for prototype testing and assembly.
- Conduct feasibility research and qualify test jigs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacture R&D prototypes.
- Perform engineering verification and validation testing.
- Provide technical input for usability engineering and risk management.
- Develop mechanical user-interface elements.
- Perform field clinical engineering activities.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering; Biomedical Engineering or Materials Engineering degrees may also be considered.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical development roles.
- Strong hands-on laboratory skills and familiarity with mechanical testing.
- Proficiency with CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with complex high-precision systems such as medical devices, aerospace, or robotics.
- Experience in a startup environment.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW and MATLAB.
