Join a multidisciplinary R&D team supporting released surgical platforms and improving medical devices across their product lifecycle. This hybrid role is based in Caesarea, Israel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement mechanical design improvements for released products
- Design, qualify, and document test fixtures, jigs, and tools
- Provide engineering support for testing activities
- Support product configuration control and engineering change management
- Collaborate with suppliers on component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
- Analyze field failures and define corrective actions with engineering teams
- Lead technical investigations using structured root-cause analysis
- Investigate audit findings and process flows to identify engineering improvements
- Act as the primary engineering contact for internal and external audits
- Lead R&D corrective and preventive action activities and prepare evidence-based audit responses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of product design, NPI, or engineering experience
- Extensive experience with precision machined parts, sheet metal parts, and mechanisms
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of metal and plastic component manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of engineering change management and PLM tools such as PTC Windchill
- Knowledge of medical device standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a multinational matrix organization
Nice to have
- Medical device experience
- Knowledge of ISO 10993 and IEC 60601 standards
- Experience with process validation and equipment qualification, including IQ/OQ/PQ
- Experience with pFMEA
