An industrial technology company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a hands-on, full-time role near Be'er Sheva. The position combines mechanical design, production support, manufacturing process improvement, and product transfer into production.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support on the production floor and resolve technical issues.
- Investigate system failures, identify root causes, and implement improvements.
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- Prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Lead new product introduction and transfer products from development to production.
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers in Israel and abroad.
- Support assembly and integration activities.
- Perform strength and tolerance calculations.
- Stabilize manufacturing processes and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of mechanical design experience in a development or manufacturing environment.
- High proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience defining and stabilizing manufacturing processes and leading cost-reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, plastics, casting, and composite materials.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent technical Hebrew and English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Nice to have
- Experience in the optics or semiconductor industry.
- Experience with 3D printing.
